About Me
Annabelle Kier, Founder
Thirty-Minute Learning was founded by Annabelle Kier, a high school senior who has had a love of teaching and education for as long as she can remember. Annabelle has been on the Honor Roll more than twelve times and won second place in a schoolwide Oratorical Competition in 2019. Her speech, The Life and Times of a Sixth Grade Student, was published in the national AMLE (Association for Middle-Level Education) magazine in February of 2020. In 8th grade, she was been a member of the National Junior Honor Society and proudly served as the Editor-in-Chief of her school Newspaper Club. Throughout High School, Annabelle has been a heavily involved member of BHS Theatre Club, starring in leading roles in two mainstage productions between her Freshman and Sophomore year. This past May, she was elected as the President of her school Theatre Club for the 2024-2025 school year. Annabelle loves music, and has performed in over a dozen piano festivals and studio concerts, recently receiving a trophy for three consecutive perfect scores at the annual National Federation Festival in February of 2023. In June of 2023, she was awarded the Battlefield High School PTO Sophomore Scholarship for her outstanding academic achievement, as well as an essay on her aspirations to become an educator.
Annabelle created Thirty-Minute Learning during the pandemic as a fun way to help her rising 6th-grade sister start learning upcoming standards before the 2020 school year started. The result, her sister made the Honor Roll every term and got into an advanced mathematics class. Now, Annabelle is opening up the program to the public in hopes of helping kids all over gain academic confidence and get a jump start on the school year ahead.
